Lesson Plans
Spelling- We are working on contractions this week. They already had their homework assignment for the week. Everyone got it done! We will do a pretest on Thursday. If they miss any, they need to do it 10 times each for homework. The final test will be Friday, but I suspect many will not have to take it.
Language- We are moving on to using pronouns in sentences. This chapter will go much faster than the last one. Students know how to use pronouns. There is homework on Tuesday, page 113 A-C. They need to write sentences for parts B and C. There will be a quiz Thursday over these.

Reading- We are working on a new story called Ranita. This is another fractured fairytale, but is told as a play. We will continue to work on summarizing, which I feel the students are getting a lot better at than before. There will be homework on Thursday. The test on this story will be early next week.

Math- We are working on two different topics. We are continuing with our next topic in our short lessons, which is all the different types of lines. We will continue like we have, providing notes and practicing the skill. On the other end of things, we are wrapping up creating fractions. This is a basic start. We will have a quiz on Wednesday.

Science- We are working on fossils right now. We will complete an experiment on Tuesday. Wednesday, we will have a quiz over this section. It will be an open book format, as always. There is a good chance for homework on Thursday, which will be the chapter 2 review. I will give students notes for the test, which will be early next week.

Ohio- Students will have homework on Wednesday. They will need to complete #1-5 in Chapter 8 Section 1.
