Spelling- Students will have homework this week in spelling.  On Monday, students need to finish pages 41 and 42 in their workbooks and complete four times each.  The test will be on Thursday this week.

Language- We will be reteaching common and proper nouns. We will retest on Wednesday.  We will also be working on a new writing project, Santa's Stuck in My Chimney.  Students will be working on writing in a sequence of events and using time order words properly.  ​

Reading- We will wrap up  My Name is Maria Isabel.  There will be a test on Wednesday.  The rest of the week, we will begin reading Flat Stanley's Christmas.  This is a chapter book.  We will also begin a D.E.A.R. time where students read a chapter book and do a book report at the end.

Math- We are going to begin working on two digit by two digit multiplication.  We wrapped up 4 x 1 last week.  Students know the process.  The facts have not been as sharp as they need to be.  If your son or daughter has some down time at home, it would be good to continue practicing these.  I intend on there being homework on Wednesday on this.  It will take a few days to get the students comfortable doing this process.

​​Science- We are going to begin working in Chapter 2.  On Monday, students will need to finish their vocabulary for homework, if they do not complete it in class.  This will be assigned on Google Classroom.  There will most likely be homework on Thursday on this.  It will be #1-6 in the book like always.

Ohio-  We will continue with our Ohio section.  There will be a quiz Thursday or Friday this week over Section 2.  We started this last week, but have not done everything I want to do with it.
