Spelling- We will go back to business in spelling.  We will have homework on Monday, pages 41-42 and 4 times each.  There will be a test on Friday over this list.  Here is the list:

hobby, wash, model, forgot, doctor, contest, object, o'clock, wallet, cotton, dollar, solve, watch, knock, problem, bottom, swallow, beyond, knot, hospital

 

Language- Quiz on spelling irregular plural nouns on Tuesday.  There will also be homework on Thursday, page 61 in their books.

Reading- We are working on a new chapter book. We began reading this last week.  This will be a lot like math, where the homework and quiz will depend on where we get to in the story.  I'd like to do a quiz and homework on half the story, then do another homework assignment and quiz at the end of the story.  Most importantly, I want this done before Christmas break.

Math- We are working on division.  This is a topic that takes some time.  This is a whole new process for students.  They will have homework on this, hopefully on Tuesday. If it looks good, we will do a quiz on Thursday.  So far, we are only working on dividing two digit numbers by a one digit divisor.  Some students were catching on nicely to this last week, while others were still struggling a little.

​​Science- There will be homework on Tuesday, page 77 #1-6.  There will be a quiz on Friday over this section.  Some students could use a good boost in their science grade.  I will have them bring home their books for this quiz.

Ohio-  We will begin Ohio Chapter 7 Section 1 this week.  Look for homework on Wednesday.  We will probably quiz on this section early next week.
